Favorite aspects of our residency program: I was drawn to program because of the supportive atmosphere that I experienced on my away rotation and continue to experience, as well as the diverse and challenging training opportunities that the program offers. Further, UPMC’s training experiences extend beyond the OR with opportunities for additional instruction as part of the PITTrack. Being from the Pittsburgh area, it was great to be able to move back home to continue my training at one of the best programs in the country.
Hobbies: Golf, basketball, hunting, fishing, Steelers, Penguins, and Pitt basketball
Post-residency plans: I am undecided on fellowship, but I am leaning toward cardiac and pediatric anesthesiology. I plan to use the skills and knowledge gained by completing the PITTrack to go into healthcare administration, while also contributing to healthcare innovation in the perioperative setting.
