We are one of the largest anesthesiology departments in the nation with a long legacy of excellence in research, clinical care, and academics. Our department manages approximately 275,000 cases annually, covering an average of over 200 anesthetizing sites per day at over 20 hospitals and surgery centers. We host two residency programs, 10 clinical subspecialty fellowship training programs, and two NIH T32 research training programs.
Our vision is to be a national leader in anesthesiology and perioperative and pain medicine through a culture of compassion, teamwork, learning, discovery, and innovation. Our mission is to continuously strive for excellence in clinical care, teaching, research, biomedical innovation, and philanthropy.
