The Cameos of Caring Program & Awards Gala, originally created to celebrate outstanding bedside nurses in acute care hospitals, has grown to recognize excellence across the diverse fields of nursing. Since its inception in 1999, the program has expanded to honor achievements in research, education, and nursing leadership, reflecting the ongoing commitment by the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing to advancing the profession.
