We are pleased to announce that our 8th Mediterranean Transplantation Anesthesiology and Simulation Symposium (MedTASS) will take place May 16-17, 2025, at the Saracen Sands Hotel and Congress Centre in Palermo, Italy.
Since its inception in 2009, MedTASS has been a premier gathering of our department’s transplant anesthesiology experts in Pittsburgh and the Mediterranean Institute for Transplantation and Highly Specialized Therapies (ISMETT), UPMC’s hospital in Palermo. Held every few years, the symposium brings together local, national, and international experts to review the latest advancements in perioperative anesthetic and intensive care management for solid organ transplantation and major abdominal and thoracic surgeries.
The 2025 program will feature lectures, interactive workshops, and expert-led discussions, providing attendees with a unique opportunity to engage with leading specialists and stay at the forefront of clinical practice in transplant anesthesiology.
