Family House presented the 2019 Arleen Lhormer Award to Karen Florian (UPMC Presbyterian) and her dedicated group of CRNA volunteers. Karen has been organizing numerous CRNA volunteer activities with Family House since 2009, marking one decade of volunteerism. About three times a year, the volunteers prepare meals for guests at Family house, an organization providing affordable and accessible housing for patients seeking medical treatment in Pittsburgh and/or their families. One of these meals includes their annual "Souper Bowl," a Super Bowl celebration for Family House guests featuring various types of soup. Karen also recently facilitated CRNA volunteer outreach at Family House’s 2019 Polo Match.
