We are pleased to share that Erica Wiesen, MSN, CRNA, has accepted the position of Assistant Clinical CRNA Director at UPMC Mercy/UPMC Mercy Pavilion, effective April 20, 2025. Erica brings a wealth of clinical expertise from her practice at UPMC Presbyterian, a deep passion for mentorship and education, and a strong dedication to teamwork and collaboration in patient care, positioning her as an exceptional candidate for this role.
Erica holds a Master of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh Nurse Anesthesia Program and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Duquesne University. With over 10 years of clinical experience, primarily at UPMC Presbyterian, Erica has been an integral part of the neuro, trauma, and transplant teams, has served as a Charge CRNA, and has been the Primary Student Clinical Coordinator for the University of Pittsburgh Nurse Anesthesia Program. She also held a position at UPMC Magee Womens-Hospital working as a staff CRNA. In addition to her clinical role, Erica is actively engaged in quality improvement initiatives, mentorship activities, and recruitment. Drawing from her extensive clinical experience at UPMC Presbyterian, Erica is enthusiastic about stepping into her new leadership role at UPMC Mercy.
