Our following Education Office staff members were recently recognized for their invaluable contributions at the 2022 UPMC Medical Education (ME) Coordinator Symposium on March 24th.
Susan Shelton, Senior Administrative Assistant, Anesthesiology Educational Programs, won the UPMC ME Support of the Year Award in recognition for going above and beyond to balance the needs of our department while still dedicating time to our educational program and its trainees.
Jessica Warnock, Graduate Medical Education (GME) Department Manager for our Anesthesiology and Combined Pediatric/Anesthesiology Residency programs, and Angela Schultz, GME Senior Department Manager for our Pain Medicine and Adult Cardiothoracic Anesthesiology Fellowship programs, were both nominated for the UPMC ME Rookie Coordinator of the Year Award. Candidates for this honor have demonstrated an eagerness to learn their role and a passion for improving the training program and are viewed as a developing resource by both the program leadership and trainees.
Ann Martin, GME Academic Manager for our Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship programs, and Angela Schultz were nominated for the UPMC ME Outstanding Coordinator of the Year Award. Candidates for this award have gone above and beyond their roles and responsibilities, presented at a local, regional, or national graduate ME meeting, or have been involved in the overall promotion or mentoring of coordinators either locally within the institution, regionally, or nationally.
Congratulations to these individuals who go above and beyond every day with their hard work, dedication, and professionalism!
