Two physicians from our Division of Pain Management, Drs. Scott Brancolini and Trent Emerick, have been appointed to editorial roles at Pain Medicine, the official journal of the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM).
Scott A. Brancolini, MD, MPH, Associate Professor and Director of the Chronic Pain Resident and Medical Student Rotations, has been named Associate Editor of the journal's Education & Training Section. Trent D. Emerick, MD, MBA, FASA, Associate Professor, Program Director of our Pain Medicine Fellowship, and Director of Quality Improvement and Innovation, has been appointed Co-Section Editor of the Co-Morbid Pain & Substance Use Disorders Section.
Pain Medicine is a premier publication for clinicians, educators, and researchers from across the multidisciplinary field of pain management, reflecting the rapid developments in pain science and clinical practice. The journal serves an extensive audience with over two million article downloads annually and contributions from researchers in 37 countries. It covers a wide array of topics including interventional pain, neuromodulation, psychology, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and integrative medicine, among others.
These editorial appointments highlight Drs. Brancolini and Emerick's expertise and leadership in pain medicine, particularly in advancing education and addressing complex issues at the intersection of pain and substance use disorders.
