
Trent D. Emerick, MD, MBA, FASA, Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine and Bioengineering and Program Director of the Pain Medicine Fellowship, has been honored with the Distinguished Service Award from the American Academy of Pain Medicine (AAPM). This prestigious award recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional commitment and made extraordinary contributions to AAPM.
Dr. Emerick has been deeply involved with AAPM in numerous leadership roles. He was recently elected to the AAPM Board of Directors and will officially begin his term at PainConnect 2025, AAPM’s annual meeting, taking place April 3–6, 2025, in Austin, TX. In addition, he serves as Co-Section Editor of the Co-Morbid Pain & Substance Use Disorders Section for Pain Medicine, AAPM’s official journal, and holds key positions on multiple AAPM committees, including:
- Joint ASRA/ASA/AAPM/ASAM Addiction Medicine and Pain Medicine Committee
- AAPM Opioid Advisory Committee
- AAPM Foundation Board Member
- Vice Chair of the AAPM Membership Committee
- 2025 Annual Meeting Program Committee
Dr. Emerick’s will be officially recognized for the award at PainConnect 2025, celebrating his outstanding contributions to the field of pain medicine.
