Congratulations to Nicholas J. Schott, MD, who has accepted the position of Associate Director of our ACGME-accredited Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Fellowship Program starting January 1, 2018.
Dr. Schott graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a BS (summa cum laude) in 2008. He obtained his MD from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in 2012. In medical school, he was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed his Anesthesiology Residency at UPMC in 2016, serving as Junior Chief of Research and Scholarly Activity. In 2017, he completed a Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship at UPMC, serving as Chief Fellow. After graduation, Dr. Schott joined our department as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology, spending his time between Magee-Womens Hospital of UPMC as an anesthesiologist and a member of the UPMC Presbyterian Acute Interventional Perioperative Pain & Regional Anesthesiology Service.
