Lauren Nahouraii, MD, a third-year resident in our program, was formally accepted into the Pitt-UPMC Senior Resident and Fellow Leadership Academy 2024-2025 cohort.
The Pitt-UPMC Senior Resident and Fellow Leadership Academy is a year-long comprehensive approach to physician leadership development, offering a year-long immersive experience designed to hone the skills of emerging leaders in medicine. Tailored specifically for senior residents and fellows who have demonstrated exceptional leadership potential, this program integrates a diverse range of interventions to address their evolving needs.
Comprising educational modules, thought-provoking course materials, dynamic panel discussions, pre-session preparatory readings, intimate small-group discussions, rigorous self-assessments, and post-session assignments, the academy offers a holistic approach to leadership development.
Dr. Nahouraii will join a group of 30 aspiring physician leaders selected through a competitive application process from across the UPMC system. The program, which will kick off on Thursday, July 11, 2024, is directed by Dr. Joseph Losee (Plastic Surgery), Drs. Gregory Bump and Sarah Merriam (General Internal Medicine), and Martina Bison-Huckaby (UPMC Physician Learning and Development), in connection with numerous other physician leaders within the system.
Congratulations to Dr. Nahouraii!
