Grace Lim, MD, MS, Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine in the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Obstetric and Women's Anesthesiology at UPMC, has been appointed as an Associate Editor of Anesthesiology, the flagship journal of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Her three-year term will commence on January 1, 2025.
Anesthesiology is globally recognized for its leadership in publishing high-quality research that informs clinical practice and advances the specialty. With an impact factor of 9.1 (Journal Citation Reports, 2023), it is the highest-impact journal in the field of anesthesiology. Established in 1940, the journal operates with editorial independence and is supported by an internationally respected editorial board.
Dr. Lim’s appointment reflects her expertise and contributions to the field, particularly in obstetric anesthesiology. In her new role, she will collaborate with the board to uphold the journal’s mission of advancing scientific discovery, improving patient outcomes, and supporting clinical excellence.
