Dr. Aman Mahajan Appointed to American Telemedicine Association Leadership Council

Aman MahajanWe are thrilled to announce that our chair, Aman Mahajan, MD, PhD, MBA, has been appointed to the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) Leadership Council. Dr. Mahajan, a distinguished leader in anesthesiology, perioperative medicine, and healthcare innovation, will join other top health system executives in this new initiative.

The ATA Leadership Council, which is set to convene biannually, aims to advance virtual care by fostering collaboration and innovation among leading healthcare organizations. Ann Mond Johnson, CEO of the ATA, highlighted to Becker’s Health IT that the new leadership council unites executive leaders from top organizations to drive healthcare transformation by leveraging their expertise and perspectives to enhance the delivery of care.

Dr. Mahajan’s extensive background and expertise make him a valuable addition to the council. At the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC, Dr. Mahajan serves as the Peter and Eva Safar Professor and Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine. He is also the Senior Vice President of Health Innovation at UPMC Enterprises and the Executive Director of UPMC Perioperative and Surgical Services. In addition to other appointments, Dr. Mahajan is a successful entrepreneur, with several medical technology startups to his credit.
