The health and safety of everyone in our department, the UPMC/University of Pittsburgh community, and our colleagues and fellow clinicians is a top priority. For that reason, have postponed several events in an abundance of caution as a preventative step in the management of COVID-19:
-
The UPMC Anesthesiology Academy of Learning (Updates in Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine – RN, CRNA, and Physician Conferences) originally scheduled for March 20-22, 2020 was postponed until a later date. We are actively working with the Continuing Medical Education office to arrange refunds of registration fees to registrant’s original form of payment. Registrants who personally made reservations will need to contact Nemacolin Woodlands Resort directly to cancel your lodging accommodations at 866-344-6957. If you have any additional questions, please contact Barb Chismar.
-
Dr. Aman Mahajan’s Provost’s Inaugural Lecture that was scheduled for March 26, 2020 is postponed.
- The Safar Symposium and Multi-Departmental Trainees’ Research Session originally scheduled for April 29-30, 2020 is postponed until a later date, hopefully sometime in the fall. A new abstract submission deadline for the Trainees’ Research Day session will be scheduled when the event is rescheduled. Those who have already submitted an abstract will be notified of the postponement.
- The Perioperative Ultrasound Symposium and Workshops scheduled for June 12-14, 2020 is postponed. We look forward to hosting this event on a later date and will announce details for the rescheduled event as soon as we can. We are actively working with the CME office to arrange refunds of registration fees to the original form of payment. If you have any additional questions, please contact Barb Chismar.
When postponed events are rescheduled, we will re-post them in the Events section of our website.
