"Headshot of Danielle Meholic"

Danielle Meholic, DNAP, CRNA, has accepted the role of CRNA Clinical Director for UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital, effective April 25, 2021. Danielle has been a CRNA at Magee since 2011 and served as the site’s Assistant CRNA Clinical Director since 2017. Prior to that, she was a charge CRNA and SRNA clinical coordinator in obstetrics. Danielle is an adjunct faculty member in the University of Pittsburgh School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences in the Physician Assistant Studies Program and co-developed the Advanced Practice Provider Leadership certificate course, serving as the CRNA lead expert. She is an instructor for the WISER (Winter Institute for Simulation, Education, and Research) Nurse Anesthesia Regional Training Course (NARAT). Danielle holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from La Roche University, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing’s Nurse Anesthesia Program, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh, graduating cum laude. She has received several awards during her career, including the National Collegiate Nursing Award and the Above and Beyond Nursing Award.

The department extends sincere appreciation to Cara Fleischman, MHS, CRNA, who has decided to leave her role as CRNA Clinical Director at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital. Cara will remain with UPMC as part of our dynamic CRNA team. As a valued member of our leadership team, Cara has been instrumental in facilitating CRNA utilization of their regional skillsets in obstetrics and has attracted CRNAs from across the system to Magee who desired to utilize these skills. She will continue to support these efforts as a WISER NARAT course instructor.

We wish Cara much continued success and congratulate Danielle on her new role.
