On March 15, 2024, candidates and their loved ones gathered in anticipation of the National Resident Matching Program’s Match Day. For many, it marked the beginning of a new chapter, determining where they would embark on clinical residency training programs and shape their futures in medicine.
Remarkably, all five of our current eligible international research scholars, Drs. Yun Chen, Hagar Hamouda, Valdemir Kim, Orkun Kopac, and Yuli Lee, secured positions in residency programs for the upcoming 2024-2025 academic year. We are incredibly proud that our department and research program have served as a platform for these brilliant physicians to pursue their goal of acceptance into residency training and practicing medicine in the US.
