UPMC proudly celebrated National Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Week from September 23–27, 2024, honoring the critical contributions of Physician Assistants/Associates, Nurse Practitioners, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs), Clinical Nurse Specialists, Certified Nurse Midwives, and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants. These dedicated providers play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to our patients and communities. The week was an opportunity to recognize their hard work and raise awareness about their unique roles in healthcare.
UPMC APPreciation Week
UPMC’s own "APPreciation Week" highlighted the exceptional work of our advanced practice providers. Working alongside physicians, these professionals help to create a seamless care environment by assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with expertise and compassion. The 2024 theme, "Innovate, Elevate, Celebrate: The Power of APPs," perfectly captured the spirit of the events and activities held throughout the week.
This year’s APPreciation Week featured a mix of in-person and virtual events, including educational conferences, giveaways, and UPMC’s annual APP Awards. We are thrilled to share that two of our department’s APPs received well-deserved recognition as part of APPreciation Week.
