Our residents, fellows, and faculty have made it an annual tradition to walk/run at the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Run For The Warriors 5k at the ASA annual meeting. Funds raised support Hope for the Warriors, and organization with the mission to enhance the quality of life for post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty. Our 2019 Pitt/UPMC team won the award for the most race participants, numerous team members won personal awards, and over the years, we have proudly raised thousands of dollars for this very deserving charity.
The 2020 ASA 5K Run for the Warriors is a virtual event, and our department has assembled a team to run or walk with their ASA colleagues. Please consider donating to this worthy cause via our team page.
