Congratulations to Serafina M. Bear, MSN, CRNA, UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital, who was a winner of “The Extra Mile” Quarter 1 Award within UPMC Physician Services Division (PSD). The award recognizes staff members who go above and beyond their job duties, maintain a high office morale, and actively display UPMC’s values.
Serafina was chosen for the award for providing exceptional care that saved a newborn's life during an emergency delivery under suboptimal circumstances. Below are some brief excerpts of praise from Serafina’s colleagues at Magee in their nomination:
