Dr. Grace Lim Receives NIH / NIMH R01 Funding to Study Ketamine Use for Postpartum Depression and Pain

Congratulations to Grace Lim, MD, MS, who has been awarded a major RO1 grant of over $2.5M from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) / National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) for her research proposal “Ketamine to Reduce Postpartum Depression and Pain after Cesarean Delivery.” She and her colleagues will identify tolerable dose and pharmacodynamics/pharmacokinetics of ketamine in peripartum women and aim to begin changing the current paradigm of depression management from treatment to prevention.
