Dale Fleck, MSN, CRNA, has accepted the role of CRNA Clinical Director of UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore Hospitals, effective August 14, 2022. Dale has served as Assistant CRNA Clinical Director for UPMC Presbyterian since 2005 and as a CRNA since 2000. Prior to his Assistant CRNA Director Role, he was the UPMC Presbyterian CRNA Education Coordinator and a member of the Trauma Transplant Team. During his time at UPMC, he has served as a member of numerous committees, including the Bloodborne Pathogen, Safety, Perioperative, and Joint Medical Executive Committees, as well as the Advanced Practice Professionals Subcommittee. Additionally, he is a Difficult Airway Instructor at the Winter Institute for Simulation, Education and Research (WISER) as an Adjunct Faculty Member in the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing, Nurse Anesthesia Program. He has been instrumental in working with UPMC Pharmacy and Risk Management on controlled substance accountability and oversees the shadowing program for professionals and students. Dale holds a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He has received several awards during his career, including the Mary DePaolis-Lutzo Award for Excellence in Clinical Instruction and the Pennsylvania Association of Nurse Anesthetist’s Clinical Instructor of the Year Award.
